Under the Bridge on the Cathance River

This photo is my entry into the Lifestyle category of of Down East‘s 10th Reader’s Photo Contest. (Yesterday, I posted my entry into the Landscape category.) Contest voting opened to the public this week.

I made this image earlier this summer while kayaking down the Cathance River in Bowdoinham, heading toward Merrymeeting Bay. The boat launch on the left-hand side of the photo is a short drive from my house, so I paddle here often from late May into September.
